"This past winter holiday season I was the newly appointed Director of Human Resources for South Moon Under, part of my responsibilities were to plan and execute a holiday party for approximately 50 Home Office employees and their guest. The Company had fallen into a rut and for many years had the same party at the same location and the employees were letting me know that they were bored and the attendance had been falling from one year to the next. I decided the time had come to “shake things up”. At the recommendation of several of our employees I contacted Amanda at Solstice in Berlin. The process of making choices and selections could not have been easier. At times the process was so smooth I was really worried that things would fall apart at the last minute. That never happened!! The night was a HUGE success with all elements of the festivities coming together, the food was incredible and the service that Robb, Nino , Amanda and all of the staff gave made the night very special. The hotel is so beautiful and the addition of the decorations and the horse and buggy out front put everyone in the holiday spirit. Their attention to the smallest detail made my job easy and made a great impression. This is one of the best attended holiday parties that the company has had. It also happened to be the night of my wedding anniversary and so my husband and I decided to stay at the Atlantic for the night. This choice too proved to be the right one. Our room was beautiful and we definitely felt special. I will be calling Amanda at the end of the summer to book out celebration there for the 2008 holiday, you can’t beat perfection!"

"My husband and I had our wedding reception at Solstice restaurant with the party continuing into the bar area for live music and dancing. I couldn't imagine our event being anything more. The food was phenomenal. Original and earth-conscious, every guest I spoke to commented on the food being the best they had ever eaten at a wedding. Several referred to it as the best dinner they had ever had, period. We ate family style, which reflected the feel of the night, warm and friendly. Nino Mancari built a beautiful and unique menu beginning with an outdoor lemonade reception, and Guy Bashore made fantastic wine selections. One guest bought a bottle of red to take home from the Solstice General Store the next day, and I have a friend using the same brand of champagne for her wedding, she liked it so much. I personally fell in love with the peach & rose sangria. Our wedding party filled up the hotel for the weekend, and we found the entire staff extremely helpful and supportive. Amanda, our daily contact at the hotel, was available by phone or email throughout the process, and she couldn't have been more helpful.
